When we got married in 2003, we could never have imagined the adventure God had in store for us. Eight kids, two dogs, and a whole lot of twists and turns later, we've learned that we never truly know what the next day holds.
Salty & Ray are proof of that. Lying in bed one night, we started brainstorming an idea for a coloring book about the books of the Bible, something to get kids excited about the Word of God.
That conversation turned into something much bigger, and within a day we were building it. We don't know exactly where this will go, but we're putting one foot in front of the other and walking out the vision God has put in our hearts.

Every Salty & Ray adventure is inspired by Ray Harrison, Jeremy's father and Keri's father-in-law.
Ray was an amazing Bible teacher who inspired those around him to fall in love with the Word of God. Notecards with his memory verses were always tucked in his chest pocket, keeping God's Word close to his heart wherever he went. Through his faithful teaching and boldness, he led countless souls to Christ.
When we were searching for a character to represent light, we had a few names in mind. Then Keri said, “What about Ray?” Immediately, we knew this would be more than the name of a character. It would be the purpose of this entire series. Ray was a shining light in this world, and we are so thankful for the years he was with us.
We pray these books carry his legacy forward, one story at a time, to the next generation.
